Amman, Apr. 16 (Petra)-- The Royal Naval Force and Royal Boats Command organized a maritime parade in celebration of Jordanian Flag Day, as around 150 vessels sailed across the waters of the Gulf of Aqaba in a vibrant display of loyalty and pride in the national flag, a symbol of Jordan’s history and glory.

The parade set off from the Fishermen’s Marina at the Arab Revolt Square, led by military boats, and coordinated by the Royal Naval Force and Royal Boats Command.

The event was attended by Aqaba Assistant Governor Sultan Hassan and Commander of the Royal Naval Force and Royal Boats Command, Naval Colonel Hisham Al-Jarrah, who inspected the progress of the parade. The procession featured fishing boats, glass-bottom boats, and tourist yachts, all adorned with the Jordanian flag and portraits of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

Colonel Al-Jarrah affirmed that the Royal Naval Force dedicates its capabilities and expertise to supporting national events, in line with its responsibility to secure maritime activities.

He noted that organizing such a parade reflects its national duty alongside its core mission of safeguarding Jordan’s maritime borders, deterring violations, and ensuring the safety and security of waterways.

Participants from Aqaba conveyed messages of loyalty and devotion to the Hashemite leadership and the Jordanian flag.

The coastal city, long defined by its connection to the sea, witnessed a patriotic scene that embodied a deep sense of belonging and national pride, as the sounds of marine horns blended with the cheers of attendees in a moment reflecting unity and sincere allegiance to the nation and its leadership.
